Hoya Care Guide

When it comes to houseplants, hoyas are about as resilient as they come! With their wax like foliage, and easy care, they have quickly won the hearts of both novice and experienced plant enthusiasts alike.

General care: Very low maintenance. Minimal watering needs, little to no humidity requirements. Average lighting needs. Keep temperatures between 60-80, anything below 60 will cause hoyas to stop growing.

Light: Hoyas can adjust to anything from low, to bright indirect light. If you want a chance to see your hoya bloom, place it in bright indirect light.

Water: Let the soil completely dry out between watering. If your foliage begins to yellow and drop, you might be watering a little too much. Keep them on the drier side during the winter.

When does it eat? Any plant food at half strength during the spring and summer months will do just fine. Hold off on food if you don’t see active new growth.

Toxicity: Hoyas are nontoxic to pets and people! Yay!!

Do:
-Feel free to place them just about anywhere in your home! -Let the soil completely dry out between waterings
Don’t:
-Expose these to cold temps!
-Leave in standing water
