Pothos Care

This plant is truly a plant person’s best friend.

Reliable, requires little maintenance, and with the right care, can grow just about anywhere in your interior space.

This vining plant, native to the islands of Polynesia, is known for being able to grow in even the most unlikely places.

Making it the perfect first vining/trailing plant for an absolute plant novice.

General Care

Very low maintenance, occasionally remove withered foliage, 55-85 degree temps.

Light

Any species of pothos can thrive in any low, medium, or bright light room situation.

Pothos can grow in any room in an interior space, as long as it’s away from direct sun.

Ideal for just about any room at home or in the office.

Water

Even though this plant originates from the islands of Polynesia, it’s not a fan of being overwatered.

This plant prefers its soil to say in the moist range, 3-6 if you’re using a moisture meter.

Don’t worry too much if you miss a watering or two, your pothos will likely droop a little, but will bounce right back once it’s watered in.

When Does It Eat?

Once or twice during the summer is ideal, but not super necessary.

Toxicity

Slightly toxic to pets and people.

Causes stomach and mouth irritation if ingested.

Do

Wipe dust off leaves occasionally.

Pull away withered foliage.

Take cuttings and share with friends - or take cuttings to place in decorative glass bottles!

Don’t

Overwater, or leave in standing water.

Put it in direct sunlight!
